DCT was highlighted in a feature article in the December issue of
Mining Magazine, a 2-page summary of the successful dust suppression effort at Linwood Mining in Davenport, Iowa.
The company uses a DB-60 to control fugitive particles from its limestone processing operations, helping to eliminate 10-12 hours per month of downtime from excessive dust. Production levels have risen as a result, and the company no longer struggles with over-saturated material that had been an issue with previous control methods.
The production staff also reports a noticeable improvement in product quality from eliminating the over-watering common to hand-held dust control efforts, which often create a muddy consistency that attracts contaminants and complicates handling and processing.
